Banners This banner was commissioned by Dowlais Male Voice Choir for their tour to the Celtic Festival in L'Orient, Brittany, France in 2004. It shows buildings in and around Dowlais with "Pen y Fan" (largest hill in the Brecon Beacons in the background, together with a steel works, colliery, Lady Charlotte Guest's Library, the Dowlais Stables where the pit ponies used to be stabled. There is an Engine House together with chimneys to depict the industrial steel works of Dowlais. Click to Return to Banners
